The multi-level concept will be run by restaurant veterans Lonnie and Candice Schiller in partnership with their daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Brendan Murphy, according to an April 6 press release. The owners are referring to the concept, which was built from the ground up, as a "treehouse on the trail."
In addition to the patio deck, Patterson's features an indoor lounge. Guests can play from a selection of arcade and board games or stop by for sporting events, which will be broadcast live on more than 40 televisions. Patterson's is also dog-friendly.
Food will be made available with rotating options from a variety of Houston food trucks, according to the release. A food truck rotation will be posted monthly online.
Two dozen beers will be offered on tap, including those from local craft breweries. A cocktail menu will feature drinks such as the Tree House Gimlet—made with Austin Still Gin, green chartreuse, cucumber syrup, lime and a cucumber slice garnish—and the French 765B, a twist on a French 75 named after bar’s I-10 exit number.
“Patterson Park is a concept that we’ve been thinking about as a family for a long time, and we are thrilled to bring our vision for a neighborhood hangout to life on this uniquely-situated piece of property along White Oak Bayou Trail,” Brendan Murphy said in a statement.
Candice Schiller with H3D Hospitality Design collaborated on the design of the space with her muralist daughter, Caroline, and architect Craig Schuster. Candice Schiller's past work in Houston has included Cafe Annie, The Grove and The Pearl at the Sam Houston Hotel.
Patterson's will provide a special 10% discount to the tabs of anyone who rides their bikes to the eatery using the White Oak Bayou trail.
