Located at 2920 Fannin St., Houston, the 13,800-square-foot center opened its doors to the public Sept. 29. The new location primarily serves Midtown, Emancipation Park and Third Ward neighborhoods, and services include primary care, behavioral health, HIV specialty care, adult day activities and dentistry. A pharmacy is planned to open in 2022.
Dr. Charlene Flash, president and CEO of Avenue 360, said the opening is part of a long-term plan to reduce health disparities in Houston.
“We are thrilled to be in Midtown and look forward to being a part of a vibrant community,” Flash said in a statement. “The goal with our Midtown/Third Ward expansion is to provide more access to quality, compassionate health care, including an HIV specialty practice, in-office and telehealth options for behavioral health, and oral health.”
The new location accepts all major insurance plans. For those without insurance, payment is determined by income and household size, according to the company's website.
