"At its heart, Ostia is a neighborhood restaurant, a place to hang out with friends and family to enjoy a delicious meal together whether you live around the corner or not,” McShane said in a news release.
McShane brings a range of experiences from restaurants in New York City, San Francisco, Nashville and Atlanta to his new Italian- and Mediterranean-inspired venture.
The ever-changing menu will feature a la carte meats and seafood, made-in-house pastas, salads and sides drawing from local providers as well as a selection of both new and Old World wines.
The restaurant has room for 108 seats indoors, including 37 in a climate-controlled patio called the Greenhouse Room. It also offers a traditional patio seating for another 56 guests.
Ostia opens for dinner service initially but will add lunch at a later date. Family-style dining options and curbside offerings will also be available, and the restaurant has implemented precautions for COVID-19 including ultraviolet air filters, capacity limits, masks and health screenings. 713-324-9288. www.ostiahou.com
