Founded in New Orleans, Urban South Brewery will open its first satellite brewery on Feb. 29 at 1201 Oliver St., Houston, in Sawyer Yards. In addition to a public taproom, patio and beer garden, the facility will house a research and development operation, canning equipment, and a barrel and blending room.

“We wanted our very first satellite brewery to celebrate the deep connection between the cities of Houston and New Orleans,” founder Jacob Landry said in a release. “After months of planning and construction, we’re excited to finally open the doors. We’re thrilled to be part of the Houston community and can’t wait to share our passion for great beer with our new friends and neighbors.”
