The 16th annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival will feature an array of media installations, live performances, interactive panel discussions and filmmaker workshops. This weekend the festival will celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Reality Bites” with a special screening of the '90s romantic comedy.

Nonprofit A Sheltered Life will host this fundraising dinner at The Ballroom at Bayou Place to benefit Boys and Girls Country—a Houston organization that provides a home for more than 100 children and young adults whose families are in crisis. It will feature a second line performance, a silent and live auction, seated dinner with wine pairings, and a DJ.

This event will celebrate six Houston Latinx artists and explore the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and its commitment to the culture of Latin Americans, Latinos and Indigenous Americans.
