The locally-owned coffee shop franchise is set to open a new location in the Houston Heights area, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

On the menu

Known for its in-house roasted coffee and tasty menu, Slowpokes is continuing to grow, with a new location recently opening on Canal Street and another on the way.

The menu features all-day breakfast options such as biscuits, croissants and bagels as well as sandwiches and flatbreads. As for drinks, Slowpokes serves coffee, teas, specialty lattes, refreshers and wine.

About the project

According to the filing, the Heights location is set to open near the intersection of 11th Street and Ella Boulevard. The $250,000 renovation is slated to begin construction in February and to be completed in August. Details are subject to change.
