Maison Chinoise officially made its Houston debut Oct. 31 after operating as a lone location in Dallas since 2023. The Upscale Chinese restaurant is situated inside The Driscoll at River Oaks, a luxury high-rise apartment complex in the River Oaks Shopping Center.

The restaurant offers brunch, lunch, dinner and dessert menus, as well as a tea service and cocktails.

The dinner menu boasts appetizers such as tofu hummus, crispy crab wontons and salt and pepper seafood, while the main courses include options like Peking duck, Kung Pao organic chicken, grilled Chilean sea bass, Sichuan dan dan noodles and tofu eggplant clay-pot.

Maison Chinoise is also known for its housemade premium dim sum and dumplings that come in flavors such as hot and sour soup, spicy Sichuan pork, lobster and crispy wagyu.

Dessert includes ube Nutella bao, made with coconut charcoal, strawberry sauce and sea salt; banana spring rolls, which are crispy spring rolls filled with cream cheese, banana, mango lime coulis and coconut sorbet; and the Mandarin fields, a dish comprised of white chocolate ganache, Grand Marnier cake, orange compote, green tea sponge cake and chocolate green tea soil marinated in an orange plum wine.

Specialty cocktails sold at the bar include creations such as the:
  • Dragon Lady: A mixture of Julio Blanco, dragon fruit, mango, lime, agave and Togarashi salt
  • Chino's Punch: Hennessy VS tossed with Mur Mur coconut rum, toasted sesame, pineapple, lime and topped with taro whip
  • Orange You Glad: Angel's Envy bourbon, tangerine, lemon, tamarind and saline
Non-alcoholic beverages, a selection of wine and beers are also available. The restaurant also offers a selection of artisan teas, including Rooibos Citrus, Early Grey and Jasmin Imperial, a green tea with soft floral notes.
