Respecting the craft
The owners of Texadelphia first announced in June that the Austin-based franchise would be taking over the former Upside Pub location in Garden Oaks.
"Texadelphia is a small, Texas franchise concept with eight locations, and we have three of them," franchise owner Troy Pidgeon said in an earlier Facebook post. "I hope to serve the Garden Oaks community with the same laid-back, full bar that has been there for years. We are just going to be bringing cheesesteaks into the picture."
The menu includes a variety of signature cheesesteaks with house-made sauces and queso. Some options include the classic cheesesteak, made with beef or chicken, onions, mozzarella and a choice of sauce; French dip, a beef cheesesteak with onions, mozzarella, mushrooms and au jus; and Texican, a beef or chicken cheesesteak with onions, mozzarella, jalapeños and two ounces of queso.
Additional menu items include classic starters such as nachos, fried pickles and chips and salsa, as well as wings, wraps, burgers, salads and a chicken tender basket.
A full bar is also available with several draft beers on tap and cocktails.
