Marking a milestone
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Residences, Houston, will be located in the Uptown district near the Galleria along Post Oak Boulevard.
According to the Sept. 10 news release, the location was carefully chosen to be positioned at one of Houston's "most dynamic addresses" between The Galleria and The River Oaks District, surrounded by culture, dining and retail.
Here are more details about the new development:
- It will be 44 stories and over 600 feet tall
- The building will consist of 154 guest rooms and 114 private residences
- Resident rooms will start at 2,200 square feet and will include uninterrupted views
- Residents will have nearly 27,000 square feet of dedicated owner-only amenities on their own private floors, with a motor court, lobby and elevators
- The hotel will include 50,000 square feet of amenities, including signature dining, wellness and cultural spaces
"This project belongs to the city," Andrew Deiso and Taylor Moss, owners of Deiso Moss, said in the release. "It is conceived for Houston’s world-class residents, its future and the generations who will look to Houston not only as the energy capital of the world, but as a place of refinement, culture and enduring excellence."
Stay tuned
Officials with the development said the project's sales gallery is under construction at the Post Oak Boulevard site and is on track for completion later this year, with private previews beginning soon after. However, a timeline for construction was not available as of press time.
