A new contemporary restaurant has opened in Houston and is combining Texas cuisine with Indian flavors, according to the restaurant's social media.

What's new

Kitchen Rumors is the newest concept by Kahani Social Group, also known for Amrina, a fine dining restaurant in The Woodlands, and the Midtown fast-casual restaurants Pok Pok Po and Bol.

Kitchen Rumors is Executive Chef Jassi Bindra's modern tribute to the evolving journey of Indian cuisine where different cuisines, such as in the streets of New York to the markets of Tokyo, are served with Indian inspiration, according to the restaurant's website.

The new restaurant has classic Indian dishes such as goat biryani, but also different cuisines with Indian flavors, such as:
  • Butter chicken ramen
  • Bison short rib nihari
  • Roasted oyster tikka
  • Hokkaido scallop ceviche
  • Lobster dumpling
Pair the dishes with the restaurant's unique cocktail menu, featuring cocktails such as:
  • Desi Girl at Heart: reposado, lime tumeric and cayenne honey with yogurt wash
  • Bhangra Routine: resposado, lime, mint agave, salted watermelon ice and spicy Aperol caviar
  • Bindaas Vibes: Honeydew and cantaloupe-infused gin, ginger, lemon, curry leaf
Diners can end the night off with desserts like howdy gulab jamun pecan pie, orange and saffron flan, and chocolate cardamom mousse.
