A new cocktail bar focused on Mezcal and curated agave spirits is coming to the River Oaks neighborhood in July, according to a June news release. Tucked behind Goode Co. Kitchen and Cantina will be Bar Buena, which will offer a dimly-lit space featuring curated agave spirits and a menu of small plates.

Bar Buena is a concept from the local Houston restaurant group, Goode Company, with locations across the Greater Houston area.

The drink menu

Bar Buena serves cocktails such as the Oaxacan old fashioned, tequila and tonic and a selection of margaritas. A small plate menu will feature foods influenced by coastal Mexico, such as Gulf crab tostadas and carnitas flautas.

The new cocktail bar will be open weekly from Wednesday-Sunday, according to the news release.
