Happy Go Lucky, a new shaved ice and frozen cocktail concept, opened in the Heights in June offering guests with cool and colorful flavors for the summer’s hot months.

Meet the owners

Matthew Pak and Shawn Bermudez are the owners behind local Houston restaurants, The Burger Joint and The Taco Stand. Their new concept, Happy Go Lucky, debuted June 6 at 2102 N. Shepherd Drive, where a former used car lot was located, according to a June news release.

Guests can walk up to a rainbow-tiled building featuring walk-up windows, a drive-thru and a patio filled with colorful picnic tables.

“Shave ice stands are everywhere on the islands,” Pak said in a news release. “I loved the big flavors and how refreshing it was after a hot day at the beach. I knew we have to bring this experience home to our customers in the Texas heat.”
