Now, the "mom and pop hole in the wall" has relocated from its previous location on Hillcroft Avenue to a new cafe in the Heights.
What's on the menu?
Abdallah's Lebanese Cafe serves authentic dishes with fresh farmers' market ingredients and rich flavors. According to the cafe's website, the menu includes traditional Lebanese breakfast, lunch and small plate items.
Dishes include Labneh, strained homemade yogurt topped with extra virgin olive oil; Kibbe Ball, spiced beef with cracked wheat, onions and pine nuts; and Muhammara, a flatbread with bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, tahini and pomegranate molasses.
Other traditional items include falafel, chicken shawarma, Zatar and cheese bread, hand-rolled grape leaves and pita wraps. Sides include hummus, cabbage salad, lentils with rice and baba ghanouj, an eggplant topped with tahini, lemon and oil.
Abdallah's Zatar and olive oil are imported from the family's personal grove in Lebanon.
