The details
Perseid is the newest restaurant created by Houston chef and restaurateur Aaron Bludorn. Bludorn owns and operates another Montrose restaurant, Bludorn, that was awarded a Michelin star in 2024.
“This project is extremely exciting to me because it gives me the unique opportunity to pay homage to the amazing quilt that is our city’s culinary scene through the menu at Perseid: highlighting not only ingredients, but ideas that are exciting, delighting and evoking a sense of discovery with every meal enjoyed," Bludorn said on the website. "While seemingly straightforward, there are nuanced twists and turns in every bite and sip that our guests will experience.”

Perseid is a take on the quintessential neighborhood bistro that blends Texas Gulf Coast flavors with French-inspired touches. The menu combines refined comfort, classic technique and a focus on flavor over style, according to Perseid's website.
Perseid offers a brunch, lunch and dinner menu. For brunch, classics such as pancakes and omelettes are available or elevate brunch with shrimp and grits, beef short ribs and eggs and quiche with duck confit.
For lunch and dinner, customers can enjoy appetizers such as escargot en vol au vent and smoked salmon dip. Entrees include duck frites, potato gnocchi and a St. Augustine Burger that has duck liver mousse.
For dessert, Perseid serves beignets with cinnamon sugar and spiced berry coulis, creme brulee, eclairs and chocolate entremet.
