Set to debut in early February, the venue will feature a collection of eateries, an outdoor art gallery and spaces for members of the community to gather, per an email from marketing representatives.Owners Bryan Dorsey and Kim Razil Alejo want Houstonians to consider the venue as not just a dining hall, but more of an "experience compound."
"We focus on innovation," Alejo said. "We come from such different backgrounds, ... so we're like a melting pot of different experiences and we're continuously changing what that looks like. For us, it really is more than just a dining hall. It's really just about the experience."
The owners anticipate all of the concepts at Washington Parq will be fully operational by the spring, with some of the experiences being open 24-hours a day.
What to expectThe complex will feature eight diverse concepts, ranging from fast-casual to more upscale dining experiences, as well as art spaces, per the representatives email. These include:
- Blush—serves contemporary American cuisine featuring seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques in an elegant ambiance
- Breakfast at Tiffany’s—a stylish all-day brunch spot with a menu that blends classic and modern favorites
- Expresso Co—a "luxurious" coffee shop offering espresso drinks and pastries
- The London—an outdoor art gallery and event space
- Marvin's Room—a cozy, intimate speakeasy offering handcrafted cocktails and small plates in a refined setting for a sophisticated evening out
- Mojo Juice Bar—a smoothie bar with juices and healthy fare, such as avocado toast
- Taco Yaki—a street taco spot eatery for quick bites
- Zen Garden—an outdoor patio space for community events, such as yoga and movies on the lawn
Washington Parq will host a Super Bowl watch party at its Zen Garden concept Feb. 9 from 3-11:30 p.m. The event is free with reservation.
