What's happening?
According to the post, the building occupied by EQ Heights has been transferred to new occupants, despite efforts by founder Kevin Blasini to find a solution to remain at the location.
The cafe does not have a definitive plan for relocating operations and is exploring options at the moment, according to the post.
"The spirit of EQ Heights isn’t tied to a building—it’s in the friendships, the shared stories, the laughter and the community we’ve built together," the EQ Heights team said in the post.
What's next
On the evening of Dec. 29, the day of the business' closure, EQ Heights will host a Going Away Social to end on a high note.
"For nearly a decade, you’ve supported us, celebrated with us, and allowed us to be part of your lives," the EQ Heights team said in the post. "We are profoundly grateful to each of you who made EQ Heights more than a coffee shop—it became a cornerstone of the Houston Heights community."
