Mexican Sugar is now open at the Regent Square mixed-use development in River Oaks, according to a Dec. 15 news release.
What to expect
The Dallas-based eatery brings "bold flavors, great vibes" and a community-centered destination for tacos, tequila and weekend brunch, Justin Beam, director of operations for Mexican Sugar, said in a statement.

The 13,000-square-foot, two-story restaurant features two patios with views of Buffalo Bayou Park, with indoor and outdoor seating on both levels. It will offer scratch-made dishes, handcrafted cocktails and agave experiences in a "transportive setting," per the release.

Mexican Sugar's menu includes traditional favorites such as tacos, enchiladas and fajitas, alongside specialties like striped bass and barbacoa arepas, according to the release.
For brunch, guests can order dishes including Cajeta French toast, chicken chilaquiles and benedictos rancheros.
