Los Angeles-founded Mediterranean fusion concept Herand's Kitchen has relocated to the Houston Heights as of this fall, the owner confirmed.

Owner Herand Tahmasian opened the Heights restaurant in a restored 1,500-square-foot historic building, according to a listing by marketing organization, Houston First Corporation. The restaurant has a counter-service format with seating for 67 inside and an additional 20 on its patio.

On the menu

The menu features a blend of Persian and Mediterranean cuisine, per its website. It features dishes Tahmasian often cooked for his family, such as skewered, marinated beef or chicken served with salad, bread, onions, herbs and grilled vegetables.


Other menu items include tzatziki, grilled eggplant, hummus and a feta cheese platter.
