Mexican restaurant The Taco Stand is opening its third location in Montrose in spring 2025.

The details

According to a June 10 news release, Taco Stand was created by Burger Joint partners Chef Matthew Pak and Shawn Bermudez. The new location will be built out of a 1920s apartment building and will be 2,101 square feet, including a 1,000-square-foot patio.

The Taco Stand's menu centers around traditional street-style meats such as pastor, barbacoa, lengua and carnitas, along with fish, shrimp and a variety of vegan and vegetarian options, which can be prepared as a taco, burrito, quesadilla or bowl, along with five different salsas and house-made corn and flour tortillas.

The restaurant also offers agua frescas, canned and frozen margaritas, Mexican beers, soft drinks and cocktails made with 100% blue agave tequila.

The Taco Stand has both dine-in, full drive-through and to-go services available.

“I know everyone will think, ‘Just what we need another Mexican restaurant in Montrose’, but I think our brand stands out," Bermudez and Pak said in the news release. "Taco Stand serves delicious street-style tacos and house-canned cocktails from early morning through late at night with both dine-in and drive-thru service options.”
