Restaurateur Hunter Pond and the Vandelay Hospitality Group have brought the popular concept of Drake's Hollywood to Houston.

What's in a name

The restaurant and lounge opened in Montrose as the third location for the brand and the first in the Greater Houston region.

As the name suggests, Drake's Hollywood is a Hollywood-inspired restaurant and lounge, with decor, food and cocktails reminiscent of the grandeur of famous Los Angeles venues.

The interior pays homage to Hollywood icons across many eras while the dishes and drinks include Northern California favorites, American classics and signature Hollywood combinations.

What they offer

Drake's food program features Hollywood-inspired sushi rolls, spicy salmon crispy rice, Ozzy's Pizza topped with filet mignon and a balsamic glaze, the spicy rigatoni based Pasta Za Za, a 30 day dry-aged porterhouse and the A5 Japanese Wagyu served with white truffle butter.

For dessert, the menu offers a 24-layer strawberry cake, a cotton candy cloud and a chocolate silk pie.

From the bar, guests can order from an expansive and vintage wine selection or choose one of the handcrafted cocktails, including the famous Vandelay concept known as the world's coldest martini.
