Officials with Kahani Social Group—the group behind the popular Indian-influenced restaurant Amrina, found in The Woodlands—announced plans May 30 to open a new fried chicken concept called Pok Pok Po in Midtown.

Brothers Surpreet and Preet Paul Singh will team up with Michelin Plate honoree Jassi Bindra to open the concept, according to a May 30 news release. Pok Pok Po will be housed in the former location of the French restaurant Artisans, which has since relocated to Westheimer Road.

Pok Pok Po's menu will be centered around "expertly crafted fried chicken, complemented by a selection of inventive sides and housemade condiments and sauces," according to the release.

"The inspiration for Pok Pok Po stemmed from the overwhelming success of our fried chicken brunches at Amrina," Surpreet Singh, co-founder of Kahani Social Group, said in a statement. "We knew there was something truly special about our fried chicken, and we're excited to bring that magic to Pok Pok Po."
