A new location of the Tex-Mex eatery Mi Cocina will open Nov. 29 in the River Oaks District at 4410 Westheimer Road, Houston. It will be the Dallas-based chain's first Houston location, as well as its largest.

Mi Cocina is known for its brisket tacos and Tex-Mex staples, including enchiladas, tamales, seafood dishes and brunch options. A bar will offer a selection of margaritas, including the Mambo Taxi, made with silver tequila, lime juice and housemade sangria.

Design elements at the 10,000-square-foot space will include pieces sourced from Mexican artists, including artwork by Luis Sotil and furniture created by Peter Glassford, according to a Nov. 27 news release.
