The Houston-based Tex-Mex chain Cyclone Anaya's will soon have another location up and running in the River Oaks area at 3736 Westheimer Road, Houston, near the Weslayan Street intersection.

Expected to open this fall, the eatery will go up in a 6,250-square-foot space with a different, more modern look than other locations, according to a June 15 news release. It will be located in the former space of Frank's Americana Revival, which will close June 30 prior to a relocation to the Alexan River Oaks on Weslayan Street.

A private dining room at the site will be able to seat 210 people.

Menu items will be similar to other Cyclone Anaya's locations, including Tex-Mex classics, jumbo margaritas, enchiladas, fajitas and Mexican beers.

Gin Design Group, Tramonte Design Group, and Anchor Construction and Management are teaming up to work on the site, which will include an indoor/outdoor bar and a dedicated to-go and curbside pickup entrance. A private parking lot directly behind the building will provide space for up 50 cars, according to the release.

“We are excited to continue to grow the Cyclone Anaya’s brand in Houston to new neighborhoods where we know our famous Tex-Mex will be enjoyed daily,” Cyclone Anaya's President Usman Dhanani said in a statement. “We are excited to showcase this new location that will bring a modern design aesthetic with the same hospitality and unbeatable cuisine.”
