Old Hickory Inn

Dripping slabs of pork loin and smoked brisket are the order of the day at Old Hickory Inn Bar-B-Que, where customers are welcomed by employees on a first-name basis. The traditional, friendly atmosphere of Thomas Karnezis’ restaurant is what has kept Old Hickory Inn in Missouri City booming for the past three decades.

Mama's Texas Smokehouse

Mama’s menu features baked potatoes loaded with smoked meats, brisket wraps, classic sandwiches and barbecue platters. The restaurant also sells breakfast tacos and whole meats—such as ribs by the slab, sausage, brisket and whole chickens.

Bar-A-BBQ opened in March in Montgomery. The eatery serves traditional barbecue dishes, such as brisket, pork ribs and pulled pork. The business also serves handcrafted sausage, cowboy pinto beans and banana pudding.

FireCraft BBQ

The barbecue joint offers a variety of naturally seasoned and cured meats that are slow smoked and roasted over Texas hardwoods. FireCraft BBQ owner David Welch said the restaurant, which has been operating as a food trailer since 2017, also offers catering services.

Killen's Barbecue

The barbecue joint serves brisket, ribs, pulled pork, sausage and turkey available by the pound or on plates and sandwiches. The menu also features baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, creamed corn, french fries, and onion rings. Desserts, such as banana pudding, bread pudding, carrot cake and cheesecake, are also available.

Brett’s BBQ Shop

The shop has stuck with traditional barbecue offerings—the Texas trinity of brisket, ribs and sausage—as well as smoked chickens and turkey breasts, but it also has rotating specials.

The restaurant features traditional barbecue items, such as brisket and ribs, as well as homestyle sides, including macaroni and cheese and potato salad.

Texas Q BBQ

Texas Q BBQ uses premium ingredients with proprietary sauces, rubs and spices to craft a number of barbecue staples, including prime black Angus brisket, pulled pork, sausage, beef ribs and turkey breast.

The truck serves brisket, sausage, pulled pork and ribs along with sides such as mac and cheese and jalapeno poppers.
