Correction: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated Gatsby's Prime Seafood opened at the former site of trio of Italian restaurants owned by the Mandola family where the Harlow District is underway. The eatery is opening at the former site of Tony Mandola's nearby, and is not part of the forthcoming Harlow District.

Gatsby’s Prime Seafood opened Oct. 11 at the former site of Tony Mandola's at 1212 Waugh Drive, Houston.

The eatery offers fresh seafood in a 6,700-square-foot space designed in the style of the 1920s setting of the F. Scott Fitzgeral novel "The Great Gatsby." It is run by Gatsby Hospitality Group, which also owns Gatsby's Prime Steakhouse in Montrose.

“What may appear on the surface to be a concept similar to Gatsby’s Prime Steakhouse, I can assure all of our patrons that we will be putting the emphasis on the sea in seafood at this restaurant while focusing on all the things we’re known for at the steakhouse: presentation, flavor and consistency in all dishes,” Gatsby Hospitality owner Luis Rangel said in a statement.

Seafood will be brought in fresh daily for a menu that includes items, such as the branzino fliet, New Bedford scallops, sea bass and a seafood tower. The venue also offers a bar menu and a selection of desserts.

Gatsby's can seat up to 225 guests across indoor seating options and an outdoor patio.
