The Hallmark, a luxury senior living community, is expanding its campus in Greater Uptown.

The overview

The new residential and amenity-focused addition of The Hallmark will span 21 stories and offer 120 high-end independent living residences, according to a Jan. 8 news release from the company.

Known as Uptown Oaks, the expansion will feature amenities such as a yoga studio, a massage area, upscale dining venues, an art studio, a movie theater and a swimming pool.

"For more than 50 years, The Hallmark has been a leader in senior living, earning a lasting reputation in the Houston area,” said Deidre Kinsey, CEO of Brazos Presbyterian Homes, which manages The Hallmark. “This expansion is a natural part of our evolution, allowing us to build on that legacy. It’s shaping the next chapter of our community, giving us opportunities to adapt, grow and create an environment where older adults can thrive for generations to come."

The details

Designed by PRDG Architecture, the new residences will range from 1,250 to 3,000 square feet, according to the release. Construction for the expansion is expected to begin in 2027, with residents occupying the space in 2030.

Uptown Oaks will be located near the River Oaks neighborhood, The Galleria and Memorial Park, allowing residents to walk to nearby restaurants and shops, the release states.

Additionally, residents will have access to different levels of care, including assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation.
