Texans Fit will bring a new state-of-the-art fitness facility to a recently completed lifestyle pavilion along Allen Parkway that is part of ongoing development on The Allen, a $500 million mixed-use project along Buffalo Bayou.

The new facility will occupy 34,000 square feet of space on the pavilion's second and third levels, according to an Oct. 19 press release from DC Partners, the developer behind the project.

The new Texans Fit location will be run in partnership with the fitness company M6 and will feature functional training turf, a weight room with exercise equipment used by the Houston Texans, a full-recovery lounge with infrared sauna pods and cryotherapy, personal training and fitness classes offerings, according to the release. Texans Fit is a membership-based gym with locations in Meyerland, Katy and Rosenberg.

The pavilion is 100% leased, DC's Chief Operations Officer Acho Azuike said in a statement. The second phase of The Allen, which will include multifamily and 40,000 square feet of retail space, is also getting strong interest, he said.

"Our vision from the beginning has been to deliver mixed-use developments that offer the best mix of location, amenities and luxury in one place," Azuike said. "I believe this has allowed us to continue to have strong sales and leasing across our portfolio.”

Phase 2 of The Allen is in the planning and design phase, according to the release. Meanwhile, a residential component called The Residences at The Allen is now 70% sold and is slated to open in 2023.

An opening timeline for the new Texans Fit location was not immediately announced. Additional tenant announcements, including two restaurants and a rooftop terrace, will be made later this fall, officials said.
