Officials with the development firm DC Partners celebrated the topping out of a planned luxury hotel-condominium combination project in January being built along Allen Parkway.

Located at 1775 Allen Parkway, Houston, the Residences at The Allen and Thompson Houston hotel will serve as the anchor at The Allen, a $500 million mixed-use project also being developed by DC on 6 acres.

The first 15 floors of the 35-story building will house the 170-room Thompson hotel, while floors 16-35 will house The Residences at the Allen, which feature 99 luxury condos, according to a Jan. 19 press release. Amenities at the Thompson will include 24-hour concierge and room service; a spa; and a swimming pool deck with cabanas, restaurants and views of the city skyline.

The hotel and condominiums are part of The Allen's first phase, which also includes The Lifestyle Pavilion, which opened in late 2021, according to the release. Officials said they expect to soon announce a rooftop restaurant tenant for the pavilion.

Other tenant openings include street-level restaurant space, which was modified recently to expand patio space to accommodate more outdoor dining and accessibility to parkgoers, according to the release.

The hotel/condo project is expected to be completed in 2023. Condos at the Residences at the Allen are 55% sold, according to the release.

Other investors on The Allen include TQ Real Estate Development and Westmont Hospitality Group. www.theallendevelopment.com
