Founded in 2017 by Dr. Viraj Desai, the dental franchise operates in 18 locations across Central Texas, with its newest office set to open next month in Montrose.

The practice offers preventative and restorative dentistry, as well as cosmetic services such as teeth whitening and Invisalign, according to its website.

In a note posted on the website, Dr. Desai said she started the practice to “change the way people feel about the dentist” and to encourage the “empowerment of women in dentistry.”

Dr. Desai founded Swish Dental in Austin before expanding to San Antonio and Houston. The Montrose office is the second to open in the Inner Loop, with the first location in the Houston Heights area.
