Located off 11th Street in the heart of the Houston Heights, Caffvino is now serving coffee, wine, beer, pastries and gelato. The new shop replaced a former Heights favorite coffee shop known as EQ Heights.

Staying local

When creating the menu, owners Chuck Russell and Andy Adams wanted to focus on “staying close to home with business partners,” according to a Facebook post from Adams.

Caffvino utilizes coffee sourced from the Houston-based roasting company, Cruiser Coffee, and the bar serves wine from small, family-owned distributors and local breweries, according to the post.

Adams said that the gelato, pastries and desserts are also sourced from neighborhood partners.

More details

Caffvino is open to all ages starting at 7 a.m., but after 6:00 p.m., staff will enforce an adult-only setting for those 18 and older.

“We obviously love kids, we were kids ourselves once, we just want to give adults in the neighborhood just a few hours to themselves in the evening,” Adams said.
