A new cocktail bar with tropical vibes has quietly opened in the Heights on July 4, according to the bar's social media.

Berwick's Bird of Paradise is the latest project from Robin Berwick, who also owns Montrose's Double Trouble.

The new bar brings a tropical-inspired cocktail menu with drinks such as:
  • Rye Tai: Old Overholt Rye Whiskey, Ferrand 1840 Cognac, Pierre Ferrand Yuzu Curaccao with lime, mint, orgeat and crushed ice
  • Crocodile Tears Martini: Grey Goose Citron, Condesa Clasica GIn, Noilly Prat Extra Dry, Strange Water natural coconut water, sea salt and black lemon bitters
  • Golden Majito: Planteray Three Star, crushed mint, lime, seltzer, splash of pineapple juice and crushed ice
  • Royal Hawaiian: Citadelle Gin, Green Earth cold-pressed pineapple, lemon and orgeat
Patrons can also snack on sides and sandwiches with their cocktail, with dishes such as jerk chicken wings, tostones, seared mahi-mahi sandwich and a "No Brainer Burger."
