The first 70 customers will have a chance to purchase seven Kroger-brand items for $0.70 each. The celebration will start at 10 a.m., and a ceremony featuring remarks from Kroger officials and a $35,000 donation to the Houston Food Bank will take place at 10:30 a.m. Gift card raffles will take place throughout the day until the end of the celebration at 4 p.m.
The grocery store chain offers a wide variety of everyday products, including fresh produce, refrigerated and canned foods, household supplies, pharmaceutical items and more. Kroger has 35 locations in Houston and offers both delivery and curbside pickup in addition to in-store shopping.
