A Houston-born, women-owned boot brand will debut its Texas Collection during a pop-up shop at River Oaks Shopping Center from Feb. 26-March 20, coinciding with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

The details

Fraulein Boot Company will offer its signature handcrafted luxury footwear, as well as a collection which celebrates the Lone Star State's "beauty, culture and stories," according to a Jan. 30 news release on the temporary shopping experience on West Gray Street.

The pop-up shop kicks off with an invite-only grand opening Feb. 27, where co-founders Margaret Walker and Sarah Caruth will unveil the Cactus boot as part of the Texas collection, per the release.

In addition to the Texas Collection, the pop-up will feature a rotating selection of local vendors offering custom cowboy hats, handcrafted leather goods, Texas-inspired jewelry and apparel.

What they're saying

Walker said in the release this pop-up and the Texas Collection is deeply personal to her and Caruth.

"Growing up in Houston, our road trips across the state were a formative part of who we are today," Walker said in a statement. "This collection is a love letter to the places, people, and memories that shaped us."
