The details
Fraulein Boot Company will offer its signature handcrafted luxury footwear, as well as a collection which celebrates the Lone Star State's "beauty, culture and stories," according to a Jan. 30 news release on the temporary shopping experience on West Gray Street.
The pop-up shop kicks off with an invite-only grand opening Feb. 27, where co-founders Margaret Walker and Sarah Caruth will unveil the Cactus boot as part of the Texas collection, per the release.
In addition to the Texas Collection, the pop-up will feature a rotating selection of local vendors offering custom cowboy hats, handcrafted leather goods, Texas-inspired jewelry and apparel.
Diving in deeper
The debut collection features three boots inspired by the founders' personal experiences in Texas:
- The Buttercup—a tribute to carefree days on the Bolivar Peninsula
- The Dogwood—honoring family traditions in East Texas
- The Cactus—a nod to the striking landscapes of West Texas
Walker said in the release this pop-up and the Texas Collection is deeply personal to her and Caruth.
"Growing up in Houston, our road trips across the state were a formative part of who we are today," Walker said in a statement. "This collection is a love letter to the places, people, and memories that shaped us."
