The fourth Texas location of Kirby Ice House will open in fall 2025. Chief Operating Officer Michael Johnson announced Sept. 26 the concept is headed to the Houston Heights.

Two-minute impact

The Heights spot will occupy 3.5 acres on North Loop 610 and cover 24,000 square feet. It will include a 146-foot-long bar, setting a new record for the longest bar in Texas, an honor that previously belonged to the 141-foot bar at Kirby Ice House in The Woodlands.

“We’re excited to bring Kirby Ice House to the Heights, where we aim to cultivate a welcoming atmosphere that fosters a sense of togetherness in the community,” Johnson said. “Kirby Ice House Heights will be the perfect spot for social gatherings with friends and colleagues, watching sports, spending time with your pup or simply unwinding.”

Kirby's is known for its drink selection that includes signature cocktails, wine options and over 50 beers on tap.

More details

The bar also includes spacious indoor and outdoor areas with a rotating selection of food trucks, state-of-the-art TVs and seating. The Heights location will also offer elevated patio service with an indoor and outdoor bar.

According to a news release, the Heights location will feature a similar layout to the chain's Memorial location, but it will boast over 20% more indoor seating as well as the most covered patio space and indoor seating of any Kirby Ice House location.
