Officials with Araya Artisan Chocolate announced July 2 the company will expand into the Houston Heights with its third location this fall.

The locally-owned shop sells gourmet, hand-crafted chocolate curated from a single-origin cacao bean and made in-house in a traditional, small-batch technique.

The shop sells a variety of chocolate flavors such as strawberry balsamic, spicy mango habanero, dulce de leche, chai spice, coconut almonds and bourbon and cherry. There are also vegan and dairy-free options as well as macaron boxes, chocolate-covered fruits and nuts.

"Opening our doors in the Heights feels like coming home," Araya Artisan Chocolate owner Giusseida Sicol said. "We are eager to become an integral part of the neighborhood, offering not just exceptional chocolates and gifts, but also a welcoming space for gatherings, celebrations and shared experiences."

The Heights location will reside in a historic 1924 house off West 11th Street.
