Bespoke cowboy fashion brand Miron Crosby is opening a location in River Oaks this fall.

Two-minute impact

Miron Crosby, founded by sisters Lizzie Means Duplantis and Sarah Means, offers handmade and customizable cowboy boots and accessories. According to a Sept. 13 news release, the Dallas-based brand, which launched in 2017, will call a 1,576-square-foot space at the Lamar-River Oaks shopping center home. The site at 3270 Westheimer Road, Houston, was previously home to the River Oaks Bookstore.

The River Oaks store will mark the brand's third location, following the Dallas flagship and a location in Aspen, Colorado.

Quote of note

“We’re absolutely thrilled to open a boutique in Houston,” Means Duplantis said. “The River Oaks location was a natural choice for us given the space—formerly the River Oaks Bookstore—has such a storied past. We have always been thoughtful about the neighborhoods and sites we select. It was important for us to honor an establishment with a special tie to the neighborhood, so expect to see an homage to reading play into the design.”
