Several new businesses have opened and several more are coming soon to the Lower Heights District, a mixed-use development from Gulf Coast Commercial Group, according to a May 3 announcement.

Nationwide hair salon brand Salon Lofts is now open in a 5,155-square-foot space on the second floor of a retail building at 2795 Katy Freeway, Ste. 250, Houston. In addition to hairstyling, the shop also offers brow, lash and other beauty-related services. Salon Lofts is open Mon.-Sat. from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sun. from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Ideal Dental, a dentist which offers a $39 first exam, is now open in a 2,000-square-foot space at 2785 Katy Freeway, Ste. 150, Houston. Dr. Ikechukwu Osemene, a general dentist, serves patients Mon.-Sat. from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The office is closed on Sun.

Texas Hill Country-based artisan jewelry brand James Avery has opened a 2,706-square-foot boutique at 2857 Katy Freeway, Ste. 120, Houston. James Avery offers earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants and an assortment of attachable charms, among other items. The store is open Mon.-Sat. from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sun. from noon-6 p.m.

The Blow Up Bar, a new hair salon concept, will operate out of a a 1,700-square-foot space at 2795 Katy Freeway, Houston. This shop is slated to open in August.


Radiant Waxing, a nationwide brand providing an array of waxing services, will open a 1,200-square-foot space, at 2795 Katy Freeway, Houston, in December. This location joins two other Greater Houston area locations: one in River Oaks at 2055 Westheimer Road, Ste. 115A, Houston, and one in Montgomery at 15320 Hwy. 105, Ste. 106, Montgomery.

These businesses add on to previously announced tenants at 24-acre development, which include Golftec and World of Sourdough.
