Puttshack, a tech-inspired miniature golf experience, is now open at the Houston Highlight Center, 1200 McKinney St., in downtown Houston.

Close to Discovery Green and the George R. Brown Convention Center, the new location is Puttshack's sixth in the U.S., per an April 12 press release. Puttshack was founded by the creators of TopGolf, Flight Club and AceBounce.
“Houston has become an increasingly popular spot amongst sports fans, young adults and young families," Puttshack Chief Operating Officer Chris Rockwood said. "The dynamic environment, and globally inspired food and beverage offerings are a perfect match for Houston’s demographic. As the premier entertainment destination in the area, the newly reimagined Highlight at Houston Center is the perfect fit for Puttshack to be an anchor tenant, and an interactive space for outings with family and friends, company gatherings and experiential date nights for residents and visitors alike."

According to the press release, Puttshack is supporting the Houston Food Bank by pledging $1 for every purchase of the “Texas Tailpipe,” a locally inspired sharable spring roll dish with pork, bacon fat tamale, fresco chile and Chihuahua cheese. Other localized menu items include a chicken and waffle flatbread, the frozen mango tamarind margarita, and beverages from local brewers Saint Arnold’s Brewing, 11 Below Brewing and No Label Brewing.

Puttshack’s expansion will continue with locations in Denver, Pittsburgh and Scottsdale, which are scheduled to open in the coming months.
