Lone Star College Veterans Services 5K Rally Up Run in Kingwood
Lone Star College System Veteran Services is hosting the third annual 5K Rally Run Up on Nov. 8 at the Kingwood campus. The family-friendly event will welcome students, employees and community members. The event will feature interactive activities including games, refreshments, a coloring flag station and an opportunity to write thank-you notes to veterans.

Mighty Oaks Third Annual Veterans Day Run in Conroe
The third annual Veterans Day Run is a mission-oriented event that raises awareness about the veteran suicide epidemic, ensuring that no veteran has to fight alone.

Veterans Day Celebration and Honored Mission Hall Grand Opening
The event will pay tribute to all those who have served with music, speakers and presentations. The day will also mark the official grand opening of Honored Mission Hall.

Veterans Day Fair in Kingwood
Admission to the fair includes a live band, kids' zone and free haircuts for veterans and military members. Members of the Wounded Warriors will be honored. Community members can get up close with military equipment and various representatives from the different branches, as well as recruiting offices.

Veterans Day Celebration at Tomball Social Haus
The celebratory event will include live music from 5-10 p.m., a silent auction, food trucks and a salute to veterans. Proceeds will benefit the local Tomball Veterans of Foreign Wars 2427.

Veterans Day Celebration in Cypress
The Bridgeland community in Cypress will host a Veterans Day event at the Bridgeland Festival Park on Nov. 9. Live music will take place from 3-5 p.m., and family-friendly activities include a bounce house, free cotton candy, raffles and more. During the event, a veterans' honor wall will also be up. 14th Annual Veterans Job Fair at Houston’s NRG Park
Veterans, transitioning service members and military families are invited to join the annual Red, White and You! Job Fair taking place at Houston’s NRG Arena. An opening ceremony will feature the JROTC Color Guard from Bellaire High School.
Workforce Solutions partnered with the Texas Veterans Network, Texas Workforce Commissions, Texas Veterans Commissions and the Texas Medical Center to celebrate the contributions of military veterans and their families. More than 100 local employers and Veterans Service Organizations will be looking to fill open positions.

Houston Salutes American Heroes Commemoration and Parade
The traditional Veterans Day ceremony will take place in Downtown Houston with acknowledgements and a keynote speaker. At 11 a.m., a moment of silence will be observed in memory of the signing of the Armistice, which ended World War I.
The American Heroes parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Dallas and Bagby streets.

Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute
Hosted in partnership with The Woodlands Fire Department, a patriotic ceremony will take place recognizing and thanking those who have served. The event will feature a presentation of colors, musical performances, remarks by local dignitaries and a donation drop-off site where goods will be shipped to troops.
