CEO Carl Comeaux said during a phone interview the local pizzeria held a grand opening event on Aug. 9 to celebrate the new location.

The grand opening event for the new location in Cypress featured a bounce house, live DJ and prizes. In addition, the first 100 guests who spend $20 will win free pizza for a year.
Comeaux said as a local pizzeria, Curst Pizza is open to collaborations with local nonprofits, organizations and schools to give back to its community.
“We like to call ourselves a place you could bring your significant other on a date night, but also a place to bring your kids after a ball game, “ Comeaux said. “Usually we have a nice patio, and then, of course, we serve beer and wine and people love to just have a glass of wine, beer, catch up from the day while the kids play on the patio. So it really, it's a family centric environment”

Comeaux said while Crust Pizza was founded in 2011, he came on board in 2018 to help franchise the restaurant. With a focus on being a local pizzeria, Crust locations are often found in suburbs and family friendly communities. The company is aiming to continue expanding with up to 24 locations annually, Comeaux said.
Crust Pizza is known for its Chicago-style thin crust pizza made with fresh dough, its signature sauce and proprietary cheese blend shredded daily with no preservatives added.
