Local lacrosse coaches with Power Lacrosse are hosting a series of camps for those with experience in the sport and for children who want to try something new.

Camp sessions for experienced players will be held July 16, 23 and 30 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Ten Acre Park, 14797 Carolina Falls Lane, Cypress. Those participating in the experienced clinic must have a US Lacrosse membership for player safety. Experienced players are also expected to bring their own gear and water. The clinic costs $119 for all three sessions or $45 each, and payments can be made at the session.

Children new to the sport are encouraged to attend the experienced sessions to observe. Following each of these events, new players take the field at 11 a.m. and learn the sport until noon. The coaches will have gear available for new players to borrow during the camp session, but they must bring running shoes and water. Sessions for new players are free of charge.

Registration is limited. Those interested can call or email to reserve a space in the clinics.
