Hwy. 290 eastbound from Bingle Road to Loop 610

• Total closure overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, to 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 as crews prepare to switch traffic to new pavement. Local law enforcement will be on site to facilitate traffic through signalized intersections. TxDOT officials said drivers should expect heavy delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes, such as Hempstead Road.


• Drivers looking to access Loop 610 North can detour to the Hwy. 290 frontage road, turn left on W. 18th Street, then turn left onto the Loop 610 frontage road.


• Drivers looking to access Loop 610 West can detour to the Hwy. 290 frontage road, continue past W. 18th Street, turn right on Hempstead Road, turn left on N. Post Oak and follow the road to the Loop 610 frontage road.


• Drivers looking to access I-10 can detour to the Hwy. 290 frontage road, continue past W. 18th Street, turn left on Hempstead Road and follow as it turns to Washington Avenue and connects to I-10.


• From 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, the outside mainlane will reopen allowing drivers to access entrance and exit ramps as well as Loop 610 and I-10 direct connectors. However, two inside mainlanes will remain closed from Pinemont Drive to the I-10 direct connector.

Grand Parkway southbound connector ramp to Hwy. 290 westbound

• One inside lane will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7.

Grand Parkway northbound connector ramp to Hwy. 290 westbound

• One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Saturday, Aug. 5.

Hwy. 290 westbound exit ramp to Jones Road

• Total closure nightly from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. from Thursday, Aug. 3, through Saturday, Aug. 5.

Hwy. 290 westbound from Grand Parkway to Bauer Road

• One outside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Saturday, Aug. 5.

Hwy. 290 westbound exit ramp to Huffmeister Road

• Total closure until further notice.

Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Hwy. 6/FM 1960

• Total closure until further notice.

Hwy. 290 westbound entrance ramp from Cypress Rosehill/Fry Road

• Total closure until further notice.

Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Jersey Drive to Jones Road

• Two outside lanes will be closed until 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29.

Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from West Road to Eldridge Parkway

• One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Tuesday, Aug. 15.

Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road at Hwy. 6/FM 1960

• U-turn lanes will be closed until further notice.

Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road at Huffmeister Road

• U-turn lanes will be closed until further notice.

Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road at Mason Road

• U-turn lanes will be closed until further notice.

Windfern Road northbound and southbound from Hwy. 290 to W. Little York Road

• Total closure until 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30.
