Land Tejas, a developer specializing in residential communities, announced May 2 that it has purchased 320 acres of land north of West Road and west of Fry Road in Cypress.
The land will be used to expand
Miramesa, a 600-acre section of the Canyon Lakes West master-planned community, officials said in a press release. The land was purchased from Fry Road Venture, LP, for an undisclosed amount. Its market value is listed by the Harris County Appraisal District as roughly $3.5 million.
“Miramesa has been a top-selling community not only in Houston, but also in the country, so we’re very excited to expand this highly sought-after community,” said James Henrie, director of land acquisition and development for Land Tejas.
Land Tejas officials said they expect to deliver homesites to builders for the new section around mid-2019, though homebuilders have not yet been announced.
Residents in this new section of Miramesa will have access to amenities in Stone Gate, Canyon Lakes West and the existing Miramesa sections east of Fry Road, including a new
recreation center that opened earlier this year.
Home sales are underway in the part of Miramesa east of Fry Road, where the final two sections are expected to open by the end of 2018.
