What we reported Memorial Hermann Health Systems celebrated the opening of the 81-bed Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital on March 31 at 27800 Hwy. 290, Cypress. The hospital is a part of a 32-acre campus that also includes a 45,000-square-foot convenient care center. Its features include a 24-hour emergency center, 16-bed intensive care unit, labor and delivery center, and Life Flight helipad.
The latest Hospital officials spent 2017 building relationships in the Cypress community, adding new services and technology and preparing for future expansions. Heath Rushing took over as hospital CEO in June. In July, the hospital began offering high-risk pregnancy care. In November, the hospital acquired the da Vinci Xi robotic surgery system, which helps with precision and visibility in a variety of surgical procedures.
What’s next Memorial Hermann is in the process of getting state-certified designations for its trauma center and neonatal intensive care unit. Officials said the hospital is operating as a Level II NICU and is targeting a Level III trauma designation.
