Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey has officially changed the name of Big Stone Lodge to honor former Harris County Precinct 4 commissioner "Cactus" Jack Cagle, according to a Sept. 28 news release.

The details

Big Stone Lodge is now named the Cactus Jack Cagle Community Center after former county commissioner Jack Cagle. Cagle was appointed in 2011 as Harris County Precinct 4 commissioner by former Harris County Judge Ed Emmett, according to the release. He served as the commissioner for Precinct 4 until 2023.

Prior to his tenure as commissioner, Cagle served as a judge of Harris County Civil Court at Law No. 1 for more than 30 years, per the release.
