In a statement, Tom Ramsey said he is excited about being re-elected.
"Over the last four years, I've essentially served as commissioner for over half the county because of redistricting," Ramsey said. "But what I know and what I understand having had this experience and with the election, is no matter what neighborhood you're in, where you live, what your situation [is], people believe that safe neighborhoods, infrastructure and low taxes are good. And it's very encouraging to see that endorsed and encouraged by the vote."

With all 700 voting centers reporting, incumbent Tom Ramsey defeated challenger Saleem Malik with 312,661 votes. Malik garnered 174,142 votes, according to unofficial voting results from Harris County.

The context
Precinct 3 is one of four Harris County commissioner precincts and includes parts of Cypress, Houston, Tomball, Spring and Humble.
Ramsey was first elected in November 2020 and has experience as a professional engineer, according to Precinct 3’s website. Meanwhile, Malik has experience as a police officer with Harris County Constables Office Precinct 4.
