School system personnel, construction representatives and local officials were on hand for Harmony Public Schools groundbreaking ceremony on the future site of the Harmony Science Academy’s Bridgeland campus April 30.

Harmony Public Schools is a system of 62 Texas public charter schools and has operated in Houston since 2000, according to the website.

The new campus, which is planned to open in fall 2025, was designed by Houston-area firm LDDBlueline Architects.

DivisionOne Construction and Freese & Nichols Construction Management were contracted by Harmony to construct the new school site.

The details


The first phase consists of a two-story, 58,000-square-foot elementary school on the 28-acre plot, which will accommodate approximately 650 students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

In 2027, the second phase will be the middle and high school building, which will be 79,000 square feet, serve 850 students and include a soccer field.

The new school will be part of The Harmony Public School’s Houston North District, and will be located at 12800 Creekland Village Drive, Cypress, just across the border from Cy-Fair ISD's boundaries in Waller ISD.
