After more than five years serving as Lone Star College-CyFair’s president, Seelpa Keshvala has taken on a new position within Lone Star College System, according to campus officials.

Keshvala is now the college system's executive vice chancellor and CEO of LSC-Online. In this new role, she will coordinate with presidents to streamline reporting and decision-making, oversee the University Centers and oversee the online campus, which functions as a separate entity.

Gerald Napoles, vice chancellor and special assistant to the chancellor, will serve as LSC-CyFair’s interim president, according to officials.

Keshvala began her career in education as a third- and fourth-grade teacher in inner-city Milwaukee. Before coming to LSC-CyFair in March 2016, she served as president of Ivy Tech Community College in Warsaw, Indiana.

During her time in Cy-Fair, Keshvala has been active in the community and has served on the boards of area organizations, including the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce, Cy-Fair Educational Foundation, HCA Houston Healthcare-North Cypress and Cy-Hope.
