Officials with Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. announced May 28 popular food truck and eatery The Waffle Bus would soon bring a brick-and-mortar location to Bridgeland’s Lakeland Village Center.

“The community is beautiful, and I’m excited to bring the Waffle Bus to Bridgeland to bring something new to the area,” owner Phi Nguyen said in a news release.

On the menu

Menu items include chicken sandwiches, burgers, fries, wings, and “Fryders”—sliders with seasoned waffle fries for buns.

Specialty dishes include:
  • Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich—with a choice of sauce
  • MacDaddy Hot Chicken Sandwich—spicy buttermilk fried chicken, white cheddar macaroni and cheese, and thunder sauce
  • Hottie Melt—habanero-spiced Angus beef, American cheese, grilled onions, jalapenos and stormy sauce on a brioche bun
  • Brunch Burger—Angus beef, bacon, egg, American cheese and stormy sauce on a brioche bun
  • Hot Chicken Thunder Fries—seasoned waffle fries topped with spicy buttermilk fried chicken bites, spicy mayo and ancho chile honey butter
Sweet waffle sandwiches are also on the menu, including Nutella banana, s’mores and chocolate covered strawberries, among other flavors.
