Home presales are expected to start in August with six model homes opening this fall. New residents could move in by the end of the year.
Officials said homes will start in the $300,000s with one- and two-story floor plans from Coventry Homes, David Weekley Homes, Tri Point Homes and Toll Brothers.
Plans for the development’s amenity center include a family pool with cabanas, an adult lap pool, a splash pad, a fitness center and a playground. Construction is slated to begin in August for a summer 2022 completion, officials said.
Another key feature of the community will be a new educational village consisting of a Cy-Fair ISD elementary, middle and high school with a Harris County Emergency Services District No. 9 fire station nearby. At least 300 acres will be set aside for restaurants, retail, office space, medical facilities and multifamily housing facing Hwy. 290.
“With Dunham Pointe, we’ve created a quality community that checks all the boxes—a location near employment centers, accessibility to major thoroughfares, on-site schools offering all three levels of education, first-class amenities and of course, well-appointed new homes from some of Houston’s finest builders,” said Cary Dunham, executive vice president of Dunham Pointe Development, in a statement.
Dunham Pointe is this development team’s second and largest master-planned community. Stone Creek Ranch, a 1,225-home community, opened in Hockley in 2016.
Archie Dunham is president of the team and a former Conoco, ConocoPhillips and Chesapeake Energy chairman. He previously told Community Impact Newspaper he purchased the Cypress land in 2007.
